Antique & Vintage Woods of America (AVW), located in the historic Hudson Valley in New York State, offers one of the most respected and diverse inventories of hardwood beams and flooring in America.

Dedicated to the Green Earth Concept, a recycling alternative which alleviates demand for new lumber, our major goal is to salvage and reclaim wood and brick building materials from old factories, mushroom facilities, buildings, and dismantled barns. We then incorporate these salvaged materials into new and restorative construction. With more than two million board feet of inventory, housed in a 20,000-square-foot warehouse, we can supply commercial projects that require more than 30,000 square feet of material.

Collecting these salvaged materials allows to offer an extensive product line that includes square edge and tongue and groove flooring; hand hewn and sawn beams; wainscoting; interior paneling; exterior siding; wood slabs for countertops; and antique brick and stone.

We focus on reclaiming wood from two sources: wood from century old homes, barns and gristmills; and newer products from managed forests, mushroom facilities, old tobacco barns, or hundred-year-old trees that have fallen.

Wide plank flooring is our specialty. We offer an extensive line of precision-milled wide plank flooring in a variety of styles and species from elegant to rustic. Wide plank flooring is made from planks that are from 3-inch to 24-inch wide and from 4-feet to 20-feet long. The thickness varies, with 3/4 of an inch being the most common. This flooring can be milled, tongue and grooved, or left as planks with rough edges for an antique look. All of our floors are custom made to order and milled to your specification. Our wood specialists take the time to understand your project and will work with you until you are entirely satisfied.

Our Design Center is a "must-see" for builders, homeowners, architects, and designers. The finest quality of custom wood flooring and beams in both the antique and vintage series were used in these designer rooms.
