Best Dressed Homes has serviced discerning residential and commercial clients throughout Westchester and Fairfield Counties and all along the East Coast. Clients include home owners, designers, builders, and architects.

Owner and President David Lyons collaborated with long-time vendors to provide top quality products, expert manufacturing, and professional installation for Westchester Magazine's DreamHome 2009. In the living room, Traditional Drapery of Bridgeport, CT, has expertly sewn an antique white, sheer linen into soft roman shades and overlapped them with timeless, cinch-pleated panels in an embroidered linen. Stroheim provided both fabrics. The panels were draped on wrought iron hardware by Ona Drapery Hardware.

The same hardware from Ona can be found in the recreation room, where Hartmann & Forbes provided their own panels in a sand-colored, woven silk fabric from the EarthWeave collection. This attractive woven silk also appears in the cabana in two flat roman shades. David, a Hunter Douglas Certified Professional Installer and Certified Master Level Shutter Installer, complemented these shades with a Hunter Douglas Heritance Cafe Shutter that added a touch of architectural detailing.

Mill Supply of Hamden, CT manufactured the café shutter as well as the other Hunter Douglas products found in the house. The laundry room required only a simple treatment that provided privacy and light control. Here you will find another Hunter Douglas classic: the Country Woods Wood Blinds from the Reflections collection.

In the garage, a faux wood blind from the Hunter Douglas Everwood Collection was used to tie the windows to the rest of the house and provide privacy without cutting out the light.
